Two die of ‘viral fever’

Two persons died of ‘viral fever’ in Palani and Dindigul blocks in two days.

The deceased were identified as B. Priscilla (6) of Mariyanathapuram in Dindigul and M. Dinesh Kumar (22) of Saminathapuram near Palani, who was studying at a private engineering college in Dindigul.

Priscilla’s father Baskaran, a daily wage worker, said she had viral fever for three days. When he took her to Dindigul Government Hospital on Tuesday, the doctors declared that she was brought dead.

Dinesh Kumar was under treatment at Udumalpet GH for four days. Later, he was referred to a private hospital in Coimbatore, where he died on Monday night.
