Two arrested

Pandia Rajan (50) and Suruli Masthan (45) of Chinnamanur were arrested on charge of cheating and financial malpractices here on Wednesday. The police said they collected money ranging from Rs.50,000 to Rs.1 lakh from five persons at Bomminayakanpatti in Periyakulam block promising to get them government jobs.

The duo demanded amount ranging from Rs.2.5 lakh to Rs.3 lakhs and asked them to part of the amount as advance. They did not fulfil their promise nor did they return the money. Police have registered a case.
