Two arrested for murder

Two persons allegedly involved in selling illicit liquor were arrested by Kannamangalam police on the charges of murdering a labour.

Sasikumar (32), a labour of Reddypalayam village near Kannamangalam was missing from home since March 25.

His father Murugan subsequently lodged a complaint with Kannamangalam police.

A couple of days ago, partly decomposed body of Sasikumar with cut marks was found by the hillside near his village.

Police investigation revealed that Ramasundaram alias Vijayakanth and Venkatesh alias Santhosh who were selling illicit arrack on the hillside murdered Sasikumar.

Both were arrested on Wednesday and they reportedly confessed to have committed the offence, as the victim was fleecing them.
