TTD online services to be more pilgrim-friendly

May 26, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:05 am IST - TIRUPATI:

In a bid to make the existing technology more pilgrim-friendly, the management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) is all set to enhance its online services effective from June 1.

TTD Executive Officer D. Sambasiva Rao, here on Monday, directed the organisation’s IT department to make changes in the existing system of online services for booking of Special Entry Darshan, Arjitha Seva Tickets and other services, more effective.

Some of the changes in the e-booking services are: sending regret letters for failed transactions with regard to Special Entry Darshan, besides sending a mail to the pilgrim stating that amount for the failed transaction would be refunded in three days. To ensure transparency in the booking system, names of devotees who have booked the online seva tickets would be displayed on the website, everyday after 12 midnight.

Second change would be making the Special Entry Darshan booking round-the-clock. However, for the online booking of seva tickets, the existing procedure would continue everyday and booking will be opened by 9 a.m.

Lastly, any principal devotee booking the Special Entry Darshan ticket, has to scan his photograph and ID proof, while others accompanying him (family members) need not submit both. They will have to scan their ID proof and show the same while reporting for darshan.
