Tributes paid to Jeevanandham

Floral tributes were paid to P. Jeevanandham, fondly known as Jeeva, one of the pioneers of the Communist and Socialist Movements in the State, on his 52nd death anniversary here on Sunday.

Collector Sajjansingh R. Chavan garlanded the statue at Jeevanandham Manimandap here in the presence of Nagercoil MLA Nanjil A. Murugesan.

A large number of members of Communist Party of India (Marxist) also offered floral tributes. Leaders of various parties and trade unions also paid homage.
