TRAI’s consumer outreach programme today

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) will conduct a consumer outreach programme here on Wednesday.

The programme is being organised at Hotel Himalaya in Vengikkal and will commence by 2.30 p.m.

Regional Office of TRAI, Hyderabad, is organising this programme to create awareness among telecom consumers and other stakeholders of Tamil Nadu Telecom Circle. The programme is to be attended by consumers as well as representatives of telecom service providers (telecom companies) like BSNL, Airtel, Aircel, Tata Docomo, Idea, Reliance, MTS, Vodafone etc.

When asked that what kind of awareness they would be giving at the programme, V. Sudhakar Reddy, Senior Research Officer, TRAI told The Hindu , “G. Muralidhar, advisor of TRAI and in charge of its regional office in Hyderabad and P.S.R. Murthi, Senior Research Officer, TRAI would be giving presentations on what TRAI means for consumers. Steps taken by TRAI to protect consumers from the problems. This would be followed by an interaction.”
