Trains to be regulated

Four passenger trains will be cancelled between July 17 and 20 in order to facilitate non-interlocking work at Dindigul junction as part of Dindigul-Pollachi gauge conversion work. According to a Southern Railway press release, the 56708 Madurai-Dindigul passenger will remain cancelled from July 17 to 19; the 56704 Dindigul-Tiruchi passenger from July 18 to 20; the 56703 Tiruchi-Dindigul passenger from July 17 to 19; and 56707 Dindigul-Madurai passenger from July 18 to 20.

All other express and passenger trains will be regulated at Dindigul junction for five to 30 minutes from July 17 to 20.

Extended

The 06839/06840 Tiruchi-Karaikudi-Tiruchi and 06837/06838 Karaikudi-Manamadurai-Karaikudi passenger special trains have been extended to run up to September 30.

The Southern railway has also revised the composition of 16731/16732 Tuticorin-Mysore-Tuticorin Express from July 1 to October 31. The revised composition of coaches will be one air-conditioned two-tier, two air-conditioned three-tier, 11 sleeper class, two general second class, one second class and one second-class-cum-parcel van.

The composition of the Tuticorin-Mysore-Tuticorin Express will be one air-conditioned two-tier, two air-conditioned three-tier, 10 sleeper class, three general second class, one second class and one second class-cum-parcel van from November 1.
