Training on RTI for government officials held

In a bid to educate the government officials on the Right to Information Act, a two-day in-service training was held here on Thursday and Friday.

The training programme was conducted by the Anna Institute of Management. The programme focused on the provisions of the Act, latest guidelines and orders.

The role and responsibilities of information officers and the implications arising out of the failure to respond to the applicant within the stipulated time were explained to them.

Vidya Sagar, Training Programme Director, Public Information Officers and District Revenue Officer A. Udhayakumar participated.
