A training session in firing was conducted for senior police officers at the firing range at the foothills of Yercaud on Saturday.

Inspector General of Police, Superintendents of Police, Deputy Superintendents of Police, Deputy Superintendents of Police and other IPS officers would undergo the training programme once in two years so as to enhance their firing skills.

On Saturday, DSP Elango from Tamil Nadu Commando School, Chennai, provided training for officials in West Zone.

A. Amalraj, IG West Zone in-charge, 20 IPS officers, and Superintendent of Police took part.
