Training for anganwadi workers

A training programme on protection of children was organised by Child Protection Wing of Social Welfare Department at Rotary Community Hall in Nagercoil on Monday.

Collector Sajjansingh R. Chavan inaugurated the programme.

Social activist N. Rajesh Kumar, social activist, explained the rights of children.

M. Jinitha elaborated on child protection and maintenance. Anganwadi workers were apprised of violence against children, evils of child marriage, smuggling of child and adoption issues.

Project Officer, ICDS, K. Rajkumar spoke. District Child Protection Officer S. Rajapathi welcomed the gathering. Social activist N. Rajesh Kumar proposed a vote of thanks.

District Revenue Officer A. Udhayakumar was also present.
