Due to line block/power block at level crossing no.30 at Tambaram Yard (Vandalur end) on September 19 and 20, the following will be the revised services.
According to a Southern Railway press release, on September 19, only skeletal services at 15 minutes frequency will be maintained from 6 am to 9 pm between Chennai Beach and Tambaram in both directions; the frequency of services on the Chennai Beach – Chengalpattu will be at one hour interval from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.; all EMU services will run only with 9-car rakes on September 19; and there will be no fast services and Ladies Specials.
Express trains leaving Chennai are likely to be delayed en route by about 20 minutes due to piloting at Tambaram. All main line express trains scheduled to stop at Tambaram and Mambalam will do so on suburban platforms.
The following EMUs will be fully cancelled on September 19: Chengalpattu – Beach locals leaving Chengalpattu at 4.40a.m., 5.15 a.m., 6.45 a.m., 7.25 a.m., 8.10 a.m., 8.45 a.m., 2.25 p.m., 5 p.m., 6.10 p.m., 7.15 p.m., 8.25 p.m. and 9.20 p.m. Beach – Chengalpattu locals leaving Beach at 3.55 a.m., 5 a.m., 5.40 a.m., 6.30 a.m., 6.45 a.m., 12.30 p.m., 4.40 p.m., 5.10 p.m., 6.02 p.m., 6.42 p.m., 8.20 p.m., and 9.20 p.m.
The following EMUs will be fully cancelled on September 20 (Sunday): BC 1 Beach – Chengalpattu local leaving Beach at 3.55 am, and CB 10 Chengalpattu – Beach local leaving Beach at 5.45 am.
Train no 113/114 Tambaram – Villupuram Passengers will be partially cancelled between Chengalpattu and Tambaram, the release added.
