Toll plaza supervisor hit by car

A supervisor of the Walajah toll plaza was injured after a car rammed him on Saturday evening.

Police said the vehicle which was plying towards Vellore did not stop to pay the toll fee and rammed the boom barrier.

It knocked down the supervisor at the toll plaza and fled from the spot.

He sustained injuries on his hands and hip and was admitted to a government hospital for treatment.

Police attached to Walajah police station said they have identified the car and its registration number but have launched investigation to find out who was driving it.
