A Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation bus has been attached by court as the corporation failed to settle compensation for an accident victim’s family. Sathyaraj of Mela Thangal village near Arani was working in Chennai. He was knocked down by a TNSTC bus while riding a bike near Kelambakkam on June 16, 2010. His mother Kumari sought compensation and Arani Subordinate Court ordered Rs.9.11 lakh compensation on 9 April 2015. Since the corporation has not paid the amount, even after due legal process the court ordered attachment of the bus.

Court staff attached the bus, Route number 216, standing in Arani New Bus stand.
