TNAU releases rank list for UG counselling

The first round of counselling will be held from July 1 to 8

The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University here on Sunday released the rank list for counselling for admission to the undergraduate programmes.

A. Raja Rajan, Dean, TNAU, told The Hindu that separate rank lists had been prepared for the academic and vocational streams. Under the academic stream, two rank lists – one for the B.Sc. courses, and the other for engineering courses – had been released.

The rank lists can be accessed by the applicants on the university website >www.tnau.ac.in . The total number of candidates registered was 43,258. Filled-in applications were received from 21,112 candidates in the academic stream, and 1,679 in the vocational stream. Ranking has been done for 19,101 candidates in the academic stream. As many as 332 applications have been rejected. In the same manner, ranking has been done for 1,604 candidates in the vocational stream. As many as 75 applications have been rejected.

“The call letters for counselling will be sent to the candidates by Speed Post from Tuesday. Candidates, whose applications have been rejected, have also been intimated along with the information mentioning the reasons for the rejection,” he said. The first round of counselling will be held from July 1 to 8.
