TN spent Rs. 10,995 cr for road development, says Minister

Tamil Nadu Government has spent Rs. 10,995 crore for road development in the last four years, State Highways Minister M. P. Saminathan said.

A sum of Rs. 4,000 crore has been allotted for the current fiscal,he said, after inaugurating a Rs. 4.49 crore bridge constructed across Bhavani River connecting Gobichettipalayam and Kallipatty near here on Sunday.

He also inaugurated another bridge constructed at a cost of Rs. 1.10 crore in Gettiseviyur. The Minister laid the foundation stone for a new bridge across Bhavani River at Dhoddampalayam to be constructed at Rs. 4.23 crore.

Collector R. Sudalaikannan presided.
