Three persons detained under Goondas Act

Three persons were detained under the Goondas Act here on Wednesday.

G. Thangaraj (37) of Ammapet and M. Vinodkumar (25) of Dharmapuri district were involved in manufacturing of pirated DVDs of new Tamil movies and pornography DVDs.

Raid

On April 29, the police raided a house in Ammapet and arrested the two persons. They were lodged at Salem Central Prison.

Since they were found to be involved in the illegal act, based on recommendations, City Police Commissioner A. Amalraj detained them under Goondas Act. They were declared as video pirates.

Also, K. Kanagu alias Kanagaraj (30) of Mettur was detained under the Goondas Act here on Wednesday.
