Three persons were killed and a woman was critically injured after a load van rammed a truck loaded with granite here in Shoolagiri in the wee hours of Sunday.
The victims employed as labourers in a paint manufacturing firm in Maduravoyal were headed to Bengaluru in a van for a delivery at the time of the accident.
According to the police, Rajendran (40), driver, Thalapathi (30), cleaner, and Krishnappa and his wife Parvathiammal had left Maduravoyal on Saturday for Bengaluru to make a delivery of paint tins, when the accident occurred. While Rajendran and Thalapathi died on the spot, Krishnappa died en route to Hosur Government Hospital. The injured Parvathiammal has been referred to a private hospital in Bengaluru.
