They have confessed to murder, say police

T.S.Anbu, Superintendent of Police-CB-CID, heading the Special Investigation Team (SIT) said ‘Police’ Fakrudhin and Bilal Malik confessed to murdering former BJP Municipal Councillor Paramakudi Murugan when they were taken to the scene of occurrence on November 29. “The two accused confessed to the crime...how they came to the place, waited and executed the murder,” the SP told reporters here after the accused were remanded to judicial custody on Monday.

After obtaining seven days police custody to interrogate them in connection with the murder on November 25, the SIT took the two to Paramakudi on November 29, when they confessed to the crime and showed the route through which they escaped after committing the murder.
