A whole range of premium and new car models were on display at the inaugural edition of two-day The Hindu Auto Expo 2018 that began at the Sri Subbulakshmi Mahal on Mahatma Gandhi Road on Saturday. Chief Minister V. Narayanasamy inaugurated the expo.
With seven automobile majors participating in the event, visitors had a chance to get a first-hand feel of and to witness the latest offerings of various manufacturers.
Visitors also lined up to click pictures of cars from international automobile brands including the BMW X I and the Mini Cooper D 5-door from the German car maker. Visitors also had an opportunity to get a glimpse of the latest arrivals in the automobile segment and strike the best deals. Major brands including Maruti NEXA, Honda City sedan, Renault Captur SUV, Ford Aspire and the Volkswagen Passat were among the models featured at the expo.
A special section for luxury cars and an accessories corner were also part of the show. The expo will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
