Thally MLA arrested in another case

The Krishnagiri district police have registered one more case and arrested Thally MLA T. Ramachandran in the group clash erupted between the cadres of Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam and Communist Party of India three months ago in Nilgiri village near Hosur. With this, the number of cases registered against Ramachandran has gone up to nine.

He was produced before the Hosur Judicial Magistrate II Suresh in connection with the current case, PDK functionary murder case and also an attempt to murder case registered in Berigai police station.

Hearing the arguments from both sides, the magistrate ordered the police remand him up September 21.

Six cases were registered against him in connection with the illegal quarry in Uthanapalli, Kelamangalam and Denkankottai police stations.
