The community hall on Bodi-Theni highway has been utilised by Devendra Kula Vellalar community people for the past four decades. Kalimuthu, one of the residents of the village who claimed that the land was his own properly, tried to demolish the community hall with an aim of taking possession of the land. The police pacified the crowd and stopped the demolition work. Later, they withdrew the agitation.
