In connection with the murder of a security guard at the Kodanad Estate, a special police team formed by the District Superintendent of Police Murali Rambha has reportedly gone to Chennai to interrogate a few suspects.

Police sources said a car which was causing a nuisance to the public by blocking traffic had been spotted by the police in Kotagiri less than 12 hours after the incident. When police tried to get the car driver to move, a few men inside the vehicle reportedly argued with the police.

During investigations, police decided to follow up on the car and managed to trace its location to a suburb in Chennai. Police also said that they had ruled out any suspicion that the surviving security guard could have been directly involved in the murder.
