A retail outlet of Tamil Nadu State Marketing Corporation (TASMAC) at Avarikadu near Vedaranyam was sealed following complaints that it was opened well before noon on Tuesday violating the state government’s order that the TASMAC shops should be opened only by noon with effect from Tuesday. In a release issued here on Tuesday, S. Palanisamy, Collector, said that the shop along with its bar was found open a few hours ahead of noon. The District Manager of TASMAC visited the village and sealed the shop and the bar.
