Tamil Nadu polls: Nominations begin

The electoral process to elect the 14th Tamil Nadu Assembly has been set in motion with candidates filing nominations from today. March 26 is the last day for filing nominations.

Nominations will be filed on all days except public holidays.

Voting will take place on April 13 while counting will be done on May 13.

Although the DMK and its allies have finalised their candidates, parleys are still on in the opposition AIADMK camp.

Chief Minister M Karunanidhi will contest from his home constituency of Tiruvarur while AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa will contest from Srirangam.
