Narendra Kaushal, Director, News (AIR), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, has been appointed as special observer for SVEEP activities for four Assembly constituencies in the district.
He will inspect the SVEEP activities of district election officials from April 9 and 11 in Andipatti, Periyakulam, Bodinayakkanur and Cumbum assembly constituencies.
He also held discussions with revenue and district information officials in this connection on the first day.
Dindigul
Sanjay Roy has been appointed as the election observer for Dindigul and Karur districts.
He will stay till April 18 and monitor SVEEP activities and visit polling stations that have low turn out in assembly constituencies in both Dindigul and Karur districts.
Kick starting his work at the Dindigul Central bus stand, the observer inspected election campaign organised by the Department of Information and Public Relations this evening.
