Former Union Minister and the DMK's south zone secretary M.K. Alagiri on Saturday said the five persons who were suspended from the party for violating discipline were not his loyalists.

Talking to reporters after calling on his father and party president M. Karunanidhi, he said the suspended persons were not his supporters. “The party has taken action against them” he said.

Mr. Alagiri said his father made general inquiries about him and his children in the U.S.

Though he visited Gopalapuram a few days ago in the wake of his controversial interview to private channel, he did not meet his father, but called on his mother Dayalu Ammal.
