Supervisor robbed

The Veerakeralamputhur police are on the lookout for robbers who allegedly attacked a TASMAC supervisor and robbed Rs. 1.25 lakh from him on Thursday night.

Police said B. Poosai Pandian alias Saravanan (40) of Veeraanam near Surandai, who was the supervisor of a TASMAC liquor shop on Veeraanam – Natchiyarpuram Road, was returning home in his bike on Thursday night with Rs. 1.25 lakh as he would be depositing the money in the bank only on the next day. As he was about to reach Veeraanam, four unidentified persons, who followed Mr. Saravanan in two bikes, stopped the bike and pushed him on the ground.

The robbers allegedly took the cash from him and escaped.

Based on the complaint from Mr. Saravanan, the Veerakeralamputhur police have registered a case.
