Summons served on youths in ISIS T-shirts case

Of the 26 youths, eight, including the two arrested, have been questioned, and summons were being issued to the others

The Thondi police have served summons on all Muslim youths who posed for a photograph in front of a mosque sporting T-shirts with slogans in support of the ISIS, an insurgent group fighting the governments in Iraq and Syria.

After arresting M. Abdul Rahman, 24, his accomplice Rilvan, who organised the photo session and designed and ordered the T-shirts, and a Tirupur-based Imam who procured the T-shirts, the police have issued summons to all the other Muslim youths who posed for the photograph, Superintendent of Police N.M. Mylvahanan said.
