The Principal Sessions Court here has ordered the issuance of summons to DMK president M.Karunanidhi and S.Selvam, printer, publisher and editor of Murasoli, Tamil daily, to appear before it in a defamation case.

On November 9, the State government filed the defamation complaint against Mr. Karunanidhi and Mr.Selvam for having published an article in the daily dated August 23 allegedly with an intention to defame Labour Minister S.T.Chellapandian.
