Summer science camp from May 4

Children learn more by doing. Especially to know the environment around him a child needs to explore. Their imagination should also be stimulated and for this purpose camps are held by various organisations during summer.

One such camp is being organised by the District Science Centre, Vellore.

Their “Summer science camp” 2016 will he held from May 4 to 6 for students of classes VII to X.

Science activities

The camp will focus on science activities such as fun with physics, entertaining electronics, mathematics, origami, yoga, medicinal plants, lectures on chemistry in daily life, environment science, science learning process through animation, save electricity and water, basic mechanics and sky observation.

It will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the District Science Centre at Sathuvachari. The intake for the camp is 60 participants.

Registration

Registration will be made on first come first served basis. Participants have to pay a registration fee of Rs. 650. The last date for registration is May 2.
