Students of SPK Schools, Kadachanallur in Tiruchengode Taluk, Namakkal district have successfully completed performing 32 world record attempts as part of the five-day ‘records festival’ celebrated by the school from January 5 to 9.
RecordsAccording to the school sources, 18 of those attempts were for individual records by the boys and girls. The 14 other were team records.
“The records were witnessed and adjudicated by officials from Elite World Records UK Private Limited, Asian Records Academy, India Records Academy, the Tamilan Book of Records and Unique World Records. Students will attempt to break 21 more team and individual records attempts in the next two days”, Chairman of the school A.S. Prabu Kumar said.
A number of events were organised as part of the festival for the students.
EventsStudents participated in events such as attempting to create the largest chalk mosaic, straw mosaic, spin wheel mosaic and thumbprint painting.
Students also tried to perform the most number of yogasanas in a given time, hit the most number of arrows on a target in five hours in an attempt to create new records. Group events included trying to organise most number of children Playing spin wheel , blowing soap water bubbles and making national flag using hand printing among other events.
Certificates for students who were part of the successful record attempts were given away to them during the awards ceremony.
The ceremony6 was recently organised in the school premises.
