Stalin criticises Puducherry law and order situation

He called upon party cadre to bring back DMK rule in the union territory

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) treasurer M.K. Stalin on Saturday said that anti-social elements had taken control of the Puducherry region.

Addressing a public meeting organised here by the DMK’s Puducherry unit, he said that even officers of the rank of Tashildar were targets. Such elements were operating even from jails, he added. It demonstrated how poor the law and order machinery was in Puducherry, he said.

He also noted that Chief Minister N. Rangasamy’s government was struggling to pay government employees their salaries.

He called upon the party cadres to bring back DMK rule in Puducherry. M.A.S. Subramanian, organiser, DMK, Puducherry; R.V. Janakiraman, former Chief Minister and others spoke.
