As many as 23 of the 29 students who shared the first three ranks in SSLC examination in Tiruvannamalai district received mementos from Collector A. Gnanasekaran on Thursday. Six students secured 496 marks and shared the first rank; 11 students secured 495 marks and shared the second rank; and 12 students got 494 marks and shared the third rank.
In total, 29 students shared the first three spots in the district. Of them, 22 are girls and seven are boys.
Mr. Gnanasekaran, who was transferred again to the district after the elections, joined duty Wednesday night.
Hence, the students could not meet him in the day.
