To cater to the rush of passengers for the Aadi Perukku festival,
Salem Railway Division will operate three pairs of special passenger trains on Sunday, and a pair of special train on Monday between Salem and Karur.
On August 2, the Salem-Karur special trains will depart Salem Junction at 6am, 10.40 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. and will reach Karur at 8 a.m.; 12.40 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.. The Karur-Salem special trains will depart Karur at 8.20 a.m., 1 p.m., and 7.50 p.m. and will arrive Salem at 10.20 a.m., 3 p.m., and 9.50 p.m.
On August 3, the Salem-Karur special train will depart Salem Junction at 10.40 a.m. and will reach Karur at 12.40 p.m. The train will leave Karur at 1 p.m. and will arrive Salem Junction at 3 p.m., an official press release of Salem Railway Division issued here on Friday said.
