Special health camp for children under SVEEP

Sixty children were screened at a special camp organised under the Systematic Voter Education and Electoral Participation programme at Karaikalmedu near here on Thursday.

A team of doctors from Vinayaka Mission Hospital screened the children for various ailments on the occasion. Mothers got their doubts clarified for keeping their kids healthy. D. Santhanasamy, Principal of Government Polytechnic College who is the Nodal Officer for SVEEP, inaugurated the camp.

He appealed to the women voters to exercise their franchise without fail. Earlier, Mangalette Dinesh, addressing angnanwadi workers, gave useful tips for issuing the booth slips to voters. He explained the procedure to be adopted at the time of issue of the slips.
