A special court here on Saturday issued summons to I. Periyasamy, former Housing Minister, and M.S. Jaffar Sait, the suspended Additional Director General of Police for appearance in connection with a case relating to certain irregularities in acquiring residential plots from the Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB).
The Directorate Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) cited the suspended police officer as accused number one in the case.

Twenty six persons were cited as witnesses.
