Southern Railway cancels seven trains

The Southern Railway has cancelled seven trains on December 8. A press release of the Salem Railway Division issued here on Monday said that the train No. 11064 Salem –Chennai Egmore Express; train No. 12674 Coimbatore – Chennai Central Cheran Express; train No. 06125 Kollam – Chennai Central Express; train No. 12507 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Guwahati Express; train No. 12512 Thiruvananthapuram Central – Gorakhpur Junction; train No. 133 52 Alleppey – Dhanbad Junction Dhanbad Express; train No. 22643 Ernakulam Junction – Patna Express on Tuesday.

The Southern Railway will operate the following special trains in the Ernakulam – Howrah section to clear the rush:

Train No.02836 Ernakulam – Howrah Special fare special train will leave Ernakulam at 8.50 a.m. on December 8 and will reach Howrah at 11 p.m. on the next day.

The train will halt at Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Erode, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Renigunta, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajamundry, Vishakapatnam, Brahmapur, Kurdha Road, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Bhadrak and Kharagpur.

The train No.02853 Howrah – Ernakulam superfast ‘Suvidha’ weekly special train will leave Howrah at 5 p.m. on Saturdays from December 12 to December 26 and will reach Ernakulam at 6 a.m. on Mondays.

This train will stop at Kharagpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Kurdha Road, Brahmapur, Vishakapatnam, Rajamundry, Eluru, Vijayawada, Ongole, Nellore, Renigunta, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Erode and Coimbatore.

The train No.02854 Ernakulam – Howrah superfast ‘Suvidha’ weekly special train will leave Ernakulam at 8.50 a.m. on Tuesdays from December 15 to December 29 and will reach Howrah at 11 p.m. on Wednesdays.
