Southern Railway has announced that the revised train fares will come into effect from June 25. The revision will also apply to tickets issued in advance for journeys to commence on or after June 25.
In case of tickets already issued at pre-revised rates, the difference in fares and other charges will be recovered either by the TTEs on trains or by the booking/reservation offices before the commencement of journey by passengers.
Special counters have been opened at important stations for this purpose, a press release from Southern Railway here said.
