Sona College ranks 47 in country

The Sona College of Technology has been ranked 47th among the 1,437 engineering institutions across the country. It has bagged the second position among the top 10 autonomous self-financing institutions in the State.

C. Valliappa, chairman, Sona Groups of Institutions, told reporters here that the National Institutional Ranking Framework – India Ranking 2016, unveiled by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, has ranked Sona College of Technology as one among the top 50 engineering colleges in India.

First time

It was for the first time that education institutions were being ranked in the country by the Union Government.

Mr. Valliappa said that by the achievement was possible with the help of faculty, students, and the general public.
