Signs of trouble at Namakkal

Emu firms here are facing the heat with investors, shaken by the scam reported from Erode, demanding back their money. On their part, the firms are frantically trying to reach out to the investors, saying their business is transparent.

Close to 27,240 birds are being reared by nearly 4,000 investors.

While this is under one scheme, under another, 3,100 investors have put in their money and the birds are being reared on their behalf.

So far, not one investor has lodged a complaint, the police said.
