Presence of a large number of shops outside the Uzhavar Sandhai on Park Road causes frequent traffic congestion in the morning hours as no steps have been taken to solve the issue.

The shandy is located in the busy stretch without parking facility as people park their two-wheelers on the road.

Apart from it, more than 30 shops selling vegetables and fruits run their shops on both the sides of the Park Road in the morning.

Buses from bus stand that move towards Erode and Salem have to pass through the road. Since most part of the road is occupied by unauthorised shops and also by indiscriminate parking, movement of buses was difficult. The drivers ask the motorists to give way so that buses can move.

Congestion prevails in the area from 5 a.m. to 8.30 a.m. due to the presence of unauthorised shops and parking of two-wheelers.

Neither the Namakkal Municipality nor the police took any steps to remove the shops and ensure smooth traffic till now.

During Fridays and Saturdays, when devotees visit Anjaneyar Temple in large numbers, movement of pedestrians is also difficult.
