Seminar held

A national seminar on “Supply chain management prospects and challenges” was organised at Adhiparasakthi Agricultural College, Kalavai, on Wednesday.

Speakers insisted on the need for organising and streamlining the supply chain systems and discussed the lacunae in the Indian scenario when compared to the system in the developed countries.

The seminar looked at various aspects of supply chain research retailing, forecasting, inventory management and transportation management.

M. Chandrasekaran, director (Planning and Monitoring), Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, participated. Twenty one research papers and six posters were presented, a press release here said.
