Security to Ramadoss withdrawn

The Tamil Nadu government on Monday informed the Madras High Court that security cover to PMK founder Dr. S. Ramadoss was withdrawn on the basis of the Security Committee report which opined that the leader faced no threat to his life.

In the case of his son Anbumani Ramadoss, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, T Nagar range, submitted to the court that he was given security when he was the Union Minister.

Since Mr. Anbumani was no longer in the ministry, security had also been withdrawn to him, it was submitted when the petition filed by PMK leader G.K. Mani, praying for restoration of security to both the leaders came up for hearing today.

Justice K.K. Sasidharan adjourned the matter for tomorrow directing the petitioner to file his response to the government affidavit.
