SDAT to hold non-residential training camp

The Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu (SDAT) will be conducting a non-residential training camp for 2015-16 for school students under the World Beaters Talent Spotting Scheme in Vellore and Tirupattur Education Districts from April 27 to May 1.

According to a release from A. Nagarajan, District Sports and Youth Welfare Officer, the camp for Vellore Education District will be held at Voorhees Higher Secondary School, Vellore, and for Tirupattur Education District at the SDAT Mini Stadium in Jolarpet. The camps in both places will be held daily from 6.30 a.m. to 9 a.m. on all five days.

School students who obtained the first 10 places in the education district level athletic meets have been selected for the camp. The best 30 boys and best girls who participate in the camp will selected for the 15-day Residential Camp to be held in the second week of May.

Those selected at the residential camp are likely to be admitted to sports hostels and the sports academies run by SDAT.
