All precautionary measures have been taken to prevent spread of H1N1, dengue and chikungunya in this district, Collector N.Subbaiyan said.

Speaking at a meeting of heads of government hospitals to discuss ways and means to prevent the spread of these diseases here on Thursday, he said drugs for fever should be adequately stored in government hospitals and Primary Health Centres (PHCs). Srinivasan, Project Director, District Rural Development Agency (DRDA), Shankaranarayanan, Dean, Thanjavur Medical College. participated in the meeting.
