The State Government should resume moral classes in all the schools in the Sate for bringing change in the mindset of the youngsters, said Tamilisai Soundararajan, state president of the BJP here on Saturday. The involvement of a youth in the gruesome murder of techi Swathi at Chennai and the suicide attempt by him when surrounded by the police shows the mentality of the present day younger generation. The moral classes in the schools will help in changing their mindset, she said while speaking to presspersons after visiting the parents of Vinupriya of Elampillai, who committed suicide recently after her morphed photos appeared in the social media.Dr. Soundararajan said that the death of Vinupriya should have been avoided. The incident was due to the failure of the police to initiate proper and immediate action on the complaint preferred by Vinupriya’s parents. The BJP leader said that the people should get a feeling that they will get protection if they approached the police. The procedure of receiving the complaints at the police stations and taking action against them should be streamlined.

Action should be taken immediately on the complaints preferred especially with the cyber crime wing police, she said. Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said that the state government should take steps for setting up mobile police stations in the rural areas for receiving the complaints from women. The facility of receiving the complaints over telephone should also be introduced in the police stations, she said.
