In a reshuffle of the senior bureaucracy, Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday appointed Niranjan Mardi as Home Secretary, replacing R. Rajagopal.
“Dr. Niranjan Mardi IAS, Principal Secretary to Government, Highways and Minor Ports Department is transferred and posted to act as Principal Secretary to Government, Home, Prohibition and Excise Department,” Chief Secretary Sheela Balakrishnan said.
The services of Mr. Rajagopal have been placed at the disposal of Power Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd as its Principal Secretary and CMD, Ms. Balakrishnan said in an official release.
Revenue Secretary Rajeev Ranjan will replace Mr. Mardi.
Gagandeep Singh Bedi, Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department is the new Revenue Secretary.
S. Vijayakumar, Commissioner of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj is transferred and posted as Secretary, Animal Husbandry, Dairying and Fisheries Department.
Further, Girija Vaidyanathan, Principal Secretary and CMD, Power Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd, has been posted as Principal Secretary/Commissioner of Land Administration vice T.S. Sridhar, holding additional charge.
