Re-girdering work to be taken up on Pamban bridge

The Southern Railway has announced line block for a few hours on five days between February 23 and March 27 in order to facilitate re-girdering work on Pamban bridge.

It had been planned and line block permitted in such a way that it caused least disturbance to train services during re-girdering work, Public Relations Officer Om Prakash Narayan said on Saturday.

Consequently, Train No.56723 Madurai - Rameswaram Passenger would be regulated or delayed at Mandapam from 09.45 hrs to 10.45 hrs and it will arrive Rameswaram at 11.20 hrs on February 23, March 2, 9, 16 and 23, he said.
