DMK chief M. Karunanidhi on Monday hit out at people pursuing caste politics and demanded that action be taken against them.

“DMK’s view and demand is that government should act against those who arouse caste sentiments”, he told reporters when asked about the PMK founder S. Ramadoss’s attempt to bring together groups belonging to intermediate castes against Dalits.

Terming Mr. Ramadoss’ efforts of caste politics as “dangerous”, he said pursuing caste issues would be like entering the fire pit.
