The platinum jubilee celebrations of DMK mouthpiece Murasoli , founded by its president M Karunanidhi, had to be cut short due to rain here on YMCA grounds in Nandanam, Chennai on Friday.

A host of prominent leaders from the DMK, the Dravidar Kazhagam, the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi and minority parties participated in the grand celebration.

“Murasoli has successfully completed 75 years despite so many magazines. It is a paper that reflects the ethos of Dravidian society. A lot of people have gained much by reading this paper,” said DMK leader Duraimurugan.
